Josephine Falls Rainforest Retreat
This eco-retreat at the foot of Mt Bartle Frere in North Queensland extends the adjacent national park rainforest through the development linking the site with the hiking trails to Josephine Falls and the summit of Queensland's tallest mountain.
A secluded development consisting of rainforest cabins, lakeside units and rainforest villas provides a range of guest accommodation linked to a lakeside central facility with restaurant, bar, conference and health spa facilities.
Environmental sustainability is a central feature of the design with waste treatment, energy conservation, materials selection and passive solar design all thoroughly considered.
