A new 5 level apartment building in the Brisbane inner city suburb of Woolloongabba. Designed for both the short and long term rental market, the 20 apartments are efficiently designed with large balcony spaces, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and living, dining and open plan kitchen areas.
The complex has basement parking plus swimming pool and recreation area and all ground floor apartments open onto generous private courtyards.
Located close to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, ease of access to and within the building was considered important and facilities in excess of Building Code provisions are provided. All apartments are oriented to north and the city view.
The building form is articulated by the use of deeply expressed balconies, sloping roof to the main structure and variations in wall materials. Window hoods, pergolas and shade structures provide detail interest. Materials are low maintenance with face brickwork, render and colorbond custom orb sheeting to walls throughout. The project, when complete, will provide a much needed addition to the urban residential component of this emerging area.
